LARGE COTTAGES TO RENT WITH SPACE FOR EVERYONE
When you have a big gathering of family or friends for a holiday and you want a cosy home-from-home feel, choose one of our luxury large cottages to rent. Spacious enough to host plenty of guests in comfort and style and yet cosy enough to feel warm and welcoming, these cottages offer you the best of both worlds. From picture-perfect cottages for intimate gatherings to larger cottages with plenty of bedrooms, it doesn’t matter how many people there are in your party, we have a property to delight them all. And some even have self-contained annexes and outbuildings to house extra guests, giving everyone more privacy.
Even the smallest of our cottages are designed to make you feel special, with extra such as swimming pools, tennis courts and hot tubs. Longhollow House in Wiltshire, for example, sleeps 12 and has a hot tub and a games room. If you have a larger group and want to make sure there’s plenty for everyone to do, take a look at The Lincolnshire Buck, sleeping up to 40, where there’s a piano bar, a pool table and a large function area with a dance floor and disco lights.
The wonderful thing about cottages is that they tend to be situated in some of the prettiest countryside and coastal locations. If sea views are important, stay at The Beach House in Cornwall, where every bedroom has a view of the sea. If you’d prefer sweeping countryside vistas, they don’t come much better than those at Mynach House in Wales, especially when you soak them up from the hot tub.
Our large cottages to rent can sleep from 10 to 50 guests, and when you want a rural idyll that feels both homely and luxurious, they are the perfect choice. Browse all our large cottages to rent in the UK:

LARGE COTTAGES TO RENT FAQ
-
How many guests can your large cottages accommodate?
How many guests are you bringing? You can be pretty sure, whatever the number, we can accommodate them. Some of our large cottages are very large and one or two can sleep up to 50 guests. Some are actually quite small, with four or five bedrooms, sleeping from 8-10 people. Most are somewhere between the two and many are made up of more than one building with some self-contained options for families within your group. Whatever the number of guests in your party, there will be plenty of space to mix and quiet corners for a bit of solitude too, with things to do for everyone, inside and outdoors.
-
Can I hire a large cottage for a family celebration?
Hiring a cottage for your exclusive use is a great idea for a family celebration and it gives you the opportunity to bring everyone together for a few memorable days. It extends your celebration into a holiday and allows the time and space to really catch up with one another. With many of our large cottages you can add to the family fun with a hot tub, games room and other facilities that will keep guests of all ages occupied.
-
Can we book a large cottage for a weekend?
Many of our cottage bookings are for long weekends, and it’s a great way to bring family or friends together for a memorable celebration or just to reconnect. The minimum stay for most of our cottages is three nights so that’s perfect for arrival on a Friday, leaving again on Monday and feeling like you’ve had the best holiday ever. You can, of course, stay for longer periods and when you go through the booking process you will be able to see what dates are available for the cottage you have chosen. If you need help, just give us a call!
-
Can we order groceries to be delivered to our cottage?
Yes, you can order from all the major supermarkets who do deliveries, and from Ocado. We suggest booking a delivery slot for two or three hours after your expected arrival time so that you are not without your supplies for too long but you are there to accept them, even if you have a small delay on your journey.
-
Do you have large cottages to rent by the sea?
We do, and they are some of the loveliest places you can imagine for a group holiday. We have cottages with access to the beach and cottages with sea views, and we also have many cottages that are within a short drive of the coast. They are at locations across the country including Devon and Cornwall, Wales and Scotland.
-
Do you have dog-friendly large cottages to rent?
We have many cottages that welcome dogs. The easiest way to check is to look at the box beside the cottage description, which shows information about the facilities. If you see the little dog, then it means the cottage is dog friendly. There may be some specific rules about how many pets you can bring or where they are allowed in the house so it’s best to check directly with us if you are concerned. In general, where dogs are welcome, we ask that you keep them off the furniture and don’t allow them into the bedrooms. Take a look at our selection of dog-friendly cottages here.
