A stylish renovation of historic farm buildings in the Yorkshire Wolds, Eastwold Barn is a stunning holiday home for your large gathering. The perfect choice if you are having a party or celebration, its blend of rustic charm, contemporary comforts and big, sociable spaces makes it a wonderful venue.
At one end of the huge, open-plan living area, make cocktails in the generous kitchen. Take them to the other side of the central log burner, where you can relax and chat on leather sofas. On the other side, gather for dinner round the reassuringly chunky tables. Open views of the pretty walled garden are afforded along the length of this space through floor to ceiling windows. Inside, the vaulted ceiling and old beams remind you that the underfloor heating is a more modern addition. Don’t linger here too long, or you might miss the large swim-spa and adjoining games room with its pool table. These two rooms open through bi-fold doors into the walled garden, where you can gather on the patio for barbecues and drinks while the children swipe at the Swingball.
At the end of each day, the six lovely, large bedrooms mean that no one has to draw the short straw. All have ensuite bathrooms and king or super king sized beds, and four are on the ground floor, and this makes Eastwold Barn particularly welcoming to those with restricted mobility. Close to the seaside at Scarborough and with Yorkshire’s great outdoors all around you, Eastwold Barn is in a great location for a big gathering, offering exciting possibilities for everyone – if you can bear to leave that swim-spa!

We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Eastwold Barn just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am (or 5pm if checking out on a Sunday).

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for 8 cars at the property.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Eastwold Barn. Three travel cots and two highchairs are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise children at all times around the swim spa pool.

Are pets allowed?
Up to four well-behaved dogs are allowed at Eastwold Barn, subject to a fee of £25 per dog. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on soft furnishings.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Respectful hen and stag parties are permitted at Eastwold Barn.

Are additional day guests allowed at the property?
Additional day guests may be permitted by prior agreement only, for an additional charge of £10 per person. Please contact us to discuss on 01242 352747.

Is the property suitable for those with limited mobility?
There is step free access into Eastwold Barn and a ramp is available for steps on the ground floor. Bedroom 3 on the ground floor (see list of bedrooms PDF above) has a door wide enough for a wheelchair. The shower room has space for a wheelchair to pull in and there are grab rails and a shower chair, but please note there is a shower cubicle to negotiate.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Asda, Sainsbury's or Tesco for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

There are two dining tables that can seat up to 28 guests.

Are there any other residents who live on site?
Please note, there is additional accommodation on the estate which may be occupied during your stay. This has private access and grounds and does not share any facilities with Eastwold Barn (except the access from the road).

The nearest train stations are Seamer (9 miles) or Malton (12.5 miles).

What is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford (60 miles).

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £500 during your stay at Eastwold Barn. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
