Belwick Hall Hero

Belwick Hall East of England

AN IDYLLIC ESCAPE BESIDE THE NORFOLK BROADS

Belwick Hall is a proper country house; a glorious, Grade II listed property with a traditional knapped flint façade that puts it firmly in Norfolk. It greets you with a grand entrance hall, sweeping carved oak staircase and portraits on the walls. If this is how you like your country houses - and who doesn’t? - gather your brood of up to 16 guests and surrender to its charms.

As grand as it is, Belwick Hall is refreshingly relaxed. Gather for coffee and croissants in the breakfast room to plan your days. Spend afternoons sunbathing by the outdoor pool, playing croquet, or walking through ancient woodlands. Play tennis and football, discover the formal gardens and wisteria walk, and sip sundowners on the lavender scented patio. If you are a horse rider, there’s stabling and a paddock too (additional charge).

In the country kitchen, prepare meals worthy of the spectacular dining room, with its ornate wood panelling, antique furniture and open fireplace. Play pool, darts and table tennis in the games room while the children discover the toy corner. Then sink into soft, low sofas, after throwing a log on the fire. The bedrooms are stunning, with a mix of big bathrooms and waterfall showers. With a calming palette of neutrals, soft greens and buttery yellows, it won’t take long to drift into contented sleep.

Belwick Hall wraps you in peace and seclusion, with the sights, scents and sounds of nature filling the five-acre gardens. It sits in an idyllic location, on the edge of The Broads National Park and on the banks of the River Bure; a magical place to make lasting memories with your family or friends.

Topleft Bottomright

What we think

Belwick Hall is a grand and charming country house with flint walls (my favourite), refined traditional interiors, and a heated outdoor pool. It’s ideal for exploring Norfolk or an idyllic stay without leaving the lovely grounds.
