Moone Manor Hero 1

Moone Manor The South West

Olde England by the sea

There’s something just so pleasing to the eye about Moone Manor. Maybe it’s the pale golden, local stone from which it is built, or it could it be the village it sits in - which is only enhanced by its presence - or possibly it’s the charm of Olde England evoked by its architectural beauty.

Step inside this 16th century manor and it’s all inglenook fireplaces, ancient wood panelling and exposed walls. Enveloped in this world, you can relax with the people you love. Prepare cocktails in the smart country kitchen, where there’s an island with bar stools to keep it sociable. Gather in the living room for easy conversation beneath the old beams or a game of pool. For a moment’s peace or smaller gatherings, there’s also a cosy snug with a log burner, and a TV/card room where you can play board games and cards on the card table.

Come together again in the convivial dining room, which lends itself to cheery sunlit breakfasts and long, sociable suppers, with its log burner in the inglenook and Bluetooth speaker for background music. Outside play croquet on the lawn or sit with a glass of Pimm’s on the large patio.

Moone Manor sleeps up to 12 guests, 10 in the main house and two in the delightful adjoining barn conversion. Sleep in comfort and style, with a choice of a four-poster bed, king-size, double and single beds, which share four luxury bathrooms. Its location in the sleepy seaside village of Beer is just perfect and it’s a great base for visiting Lyme Regis, Branscombe - a stunning hike away under and over the cliffs - and all of the Jurassic Coast.
