Luxury living wrapped in Victorian charm
There have been some changes at the Old Rectory since Victorian times and they have elevated this handsome vicarage into one of the most sumptuous places to stay in Cheshire. Still in situ are period details like sash windows, an open fireplace and ornate ceiling roses. But now you can also lounge on a horse-shoe sofa in the cinema room, work out in the gym, splash about in the heated indoor swimming pool or sink into the outdoor hot tub and gaze at the same view enjoyed by Victorian vicars (albeit they were not in a hot tub).
The kitchen and dining areas are at the heart of this house. In the country kitchen, equipped with a Lacanche range cooker, prepare banquets to serve in the grand dining room. Or dine in the pretty and private courtyard, where there’s a covered kitchen, Weber barbecue and Gozney pizza oven.
Enjoy cocktails in the richly decorated drawing room or sit with a whisky in a leather armchair by the bay window. Crowd into the cinema room for a movie, and have music wherever you go with the Sonos speakers that even extend to the pool room. Outside, in the privacy of the ¾-acre gardens, practice yoga on the deck or play croquet.
Bedtime means luxurious, lavishly decorated bedrooms, with 300 thread count linens and sleep-inducing mattresses and toppers. Three rooms, including a bunk bed room for four, are on the ground floor. We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at The Old Rectory just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am.

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for 8 cars at the property.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at The Old Rectory. One travel cot (linen provided) and one highchair are available on request. Children's toys, books and DVDs are also provided. Please note, parents should supervise children at all times around the swimming pool and hot tub areas (the pool is accessed via a lockable door).

Are pets allowed?
Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed at The Old Rectory, subject to a fee of £50 per dog. Dogs are not allowed upstairs, in the bedrooms or on soft furnishings.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Respectful hen and stag parties are sometimes permitted, subject to prior agreement with the property owner. Please contact us before booking to discuss.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Waitrose, Sainsbury's or Tesco for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at The Old Rectory. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
