Baillie Hall House To Rent Kent

Baillie Hall The South East

Effortless English elegance

Baillie Hall is a stunning 14th century manor house that has been exquisitely decorated and furnished. It’s as fine and beautiful a setting as you could possibly imagine for an intimate wedding, a family gathering or a corporate retreat.

Set in the heart of the Kent countryside, Baillie Hall is a simply stunning country house inside and out. Relax in the sunny morning room, eat together in the wood-panelled dining room or retire to the sumptuous bedrooms, and you will appreciate the thoughtfully decorated interiors.

Outside, wander through the formally laid gardens, enjoy a spot of croquet on the lawn, or watch the sun set from the historic, timbered Kentish bower. In May and June, the 100-year-old wisteria that adorns the walls of the house bursts into cascades of sweetly scented blossom.

Convenient for London and indeed, Paris, Baillie Hall sleeps up to 10 guests in five spacious bedrooms with two further double bedrooms in the Oast House, an equally well-appointed, self-contained annexe.

Guest reviews

Baillie Hall is a beautiful house full of little luxurious touches - we loved it! It's such a treat to be able to stay in a house with so much history attached to it. It really is gorgeous and we'll definitely be back!

An oasis of relaxed elegance

The traditionally English morning room, drawing room, dining room and kitchen are stylishly designed using British furnishings and fabrics. From the hand-painted De Gournay wallpaper in the morning room to the traditional black and white tiles in the kitchen and pantry, it’s clear that every detail has been considered to complement and enhance the beauty of the ancient manor house. The classic styling sits beautifully with stunning period features, such as the medieval laver, a stone basin in the entrance hall.

Celebrate your wedding vows in the oak-panelled ceremony room or beneath the romantic bower in the gardens, and then move through to the library or drawing room for Champagne and music. Or join close friends or business associates for a weekend or midweek break, your every need attended to by your housekeeper and your personal chef.

Outside, the beautiful wisteria-clad house is surrounded by formal lawns and gardens that offer views of the Kent countryside, and an elegant terrace – perfect for Pimm’s – runs the length of the house. Here, your party can spill onto the lawns in a setting that is quintessentially English.
