Beside the Wolds Way in Yorkshire, Courtyard Granary is ideal for a family event. Low beams and arched windows and doorways are a reminder of the building’s heritage, while the two hot tubs and fabulous games room leave the past behind.
All celebrations start in the kitchen, and in this case, it’s an airy, light-filled room with every mod con for the cook and bar stools at the counter for the support crew. Serve up in the dining room on the solid wood table, then retire to the cottage lounge in front of the cosy log burner. Or dine al fresco on the patio, cooking on the barbecue or the pizza oven. Send the children scampering to the goalposts, slide and swings, while the teenagers find their way to the games room where they can stream their music while playing table tennis, pool and darts, warmed by another log burner. Meanwhile, the hot tubs are calling. Grab the Prosecco and be the first to slide into the bubbles. Everyone will follow, and the two hot tubs are close enough to keep it sociable.
Beyond the granary, there’s a field to play games, walk the dog or even organise a bouncy castle. And beyond that, the farm estate is surrounded by wildlife-rich countryside, waiting to be explored. We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Courtyard Granary just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the houses. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am (or 5pm if checking out on a Sunday).

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for 10+ cars at the property.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Courtyard Granary. Three travel cots and two highchairs are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise children at all times around the hot tubs and play area. There is also an unfenced pond in the grounds.

Are pets allowed?
Up to four well-behaved dogs are allowed at Courtyard Granary, subject to a fee of £25 per dog. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on soft furnishings.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Respectful hen and stag parties are permitted at Courtyard Granary.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Asda, Sainsbury's or Tesco for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

The dining table can seat up to 14 guests.

Are additional day guests allowed at the property?
Additional day guests may be permitted by prior agreement only, for an additional charge of £10 per person. Please contact us to discuss on 01242 352747.

Are there any other residents who live on site?
Please be advised that the owner lives next door in the farmhouse. They have their own private access and only share the car park with Courtyard Granary.

The nearest train stations are Seamer (10 miles) or Malton (11 miles).

The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford (59 miles).

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £500 during your stay at Courtyard Granary. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
