White Gable House in Exeter is a Grade II listed property with modern monochrome interiors. It has a city address with lots of outdoor space, and it’s a minimalist home which feels cosy and welcoming. This story of contrasts, along with its proximity to the Devon coast, make White Gable House rather special. Gather for morning coffee and evening meals in the open plan kitchen-diner, testing your culinary skills on the high spec appliances. Relax in front of the log burner in the spacious sitting room, play pool or table tennis in the games room, or tone up on the Pilates reformer machine in the well-equipped gym. Bring the teenagers too, because there are gaming stations and a laid-back cinema room with a 100-inch Smart TV. If they win control of the Sonos sound system, escape for some peace in the garden of just under one acre. Out here, laze on the sun-drenched patio or lawns, make use of the outdoor kitchen and barbecue, and dip into the swimming pool and hot tub. And, with lots of fridge space in the wine cellar, enjoy the fact that you’ll never run out of cold white wine to toast the good life.
At bedtime, the six bedrooms in the main house are uncluttered and calming and there’s an additional double and bunk room in the separate lodge house. The bathrooms are zen-like, with a mix of freestanding baths and wet rooms.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am.

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for 8 cars at the property.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at White Gable House. One travel cot, one highchair and one baby bouncer are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise children at all times around the swimming pool and hot tub area.

Are pets allowed?
Up to four well-behaved dogs are allowed at White Gable House, subject to a fee of £50 per dog. Dogs are only allowed on the ground floor and are strictly not permitted on soft furnishings, in the main lounge, first or second floors or the basement.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Stag parties are not permitted at this property. Respectful hen parties are sometimes permitted (over 28s only), but only with express permission from the property owner prior to booking. Please contact us to discuss.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Waitrose for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

The dining table can seat up to 16 guests comfortably.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at White Gable House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
