Sleeping up to 13, Waterhouse Manor is a beautiful Georgian farmhouse in Devon, replete with original features. Step from the portico entrance into the flagstone hallway and you could be in a period drama. The past is evoked by ornate fireplaces, antique furniture and original sash windows with shutters. You’re brought up to date by the palette of Farrow and Ball colours, luxury brand accessories and high-quality TV and sound systems.

While you serve drinks in the light-filled sitting room, the children can make their den in the cosy snug. Cooking is a pleasure in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with Aga and American-style fridge freezer, while the elegant dining room makes an occasion of mealtimes. Upstairs, the master ensuite bedroom is huge, with space for your morning workout. In all the bedrooms, sleep is assured with the help of pocket-sprung mattresses, crisp cotton bed linen and restful décor.

This gorgeous large holiday home is tucked away in the South Hams, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South Devon. The quintessentially English landscape is a short drive from the wild beauty of Dartmoor and the chic seaside towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe. The perfect setting for a restorative holiday.

Waterhouse Manor is situated on an estate with fabulous facilities. Explore the 14 acres of glorious Devon countryside or simply relax on the sun terrace and enjoy the views across to Dartmoor. You can take a dip in the outdoor pool, play tennis, and watch the children burn off their energy in the adventure playground. And, if the Great British weather is making its presence felt, head for the indoor pool, sauna and the soft play area. Then, after a busy day, sink back in the hot tub and watch the stars come out.

What are the check in and check out times?

Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival at Waterhouse Manor, and check out is at 9.30am.
Are pets allowed?

Sorry, pets are not allowed at Waterhouse Manor. The Estate does have its own dog, Wilson, a long-haired retriever who is very friendly, but no other pets are allowed.
Is the property suitable for children?

Yes, children are very welcome. The Manor is baby friendly too, with two traditional wooden (assembled) cots, plus additional 'pop up' travel cots on request (travel cots are not pre-assembled), as well as highchairs and children's tableware. Bed guards and booster seats on request. Note that the Manor doesn't have stair-gates due to the unusually large width of the stairs.
Is the house suitable for stag or hen parties?

No, sorry, the house is only suitable for family groups.
How many guests can sit at the dining table?

There is a dining table at Waterhouse Manor that can seat 12 guests comfortably.
Is there a washing machine?

Yes, there's a handy utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and drying areas.
Is the outdoor pool open year-round?

The outdoor pool is typically open from the last Bank Holiday in May, closing on the second week in September, subject to weather.
Is the indoor swimming pool open all year round?

Yes, the indoor pool is available from 8.30am until 8.30pm all year round. It has secure access with a key pad code.
What is the nearest beach?

Waterhouse Manor is just a 10-minute drive from Blackpool Sands. Set in an unspoilt, sheltered bay amongst evergreens and pines, this Blue Flag awarded shingle beach is located on the beautiful South Devon heritage coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
