The Barn At Windrush Hero

The Barn at Windrush Heart of England

A Cotswold haven with private outdoor heated swimming pool

Soak up 500 years of history in this tastefully converted barn, where original features are celebrated while being complemented with modern design. With space for up to 12 adults and two children, The Barn at Windrush, part of the Windrush Hyde Estate, has everything you need for a luxury country stay.

Throughout the property, pristine white walls and neutral tones add a modern backdrop to exposed stone and original oak beams. The exquisite style is not at the expense of comfort, and soft velvet chairs invite you to sink into them as you listen to your favourite music on the surround sound system. In the large living room, the double height ceiling gives way to a mezzanine study area at one end, making the sitting area beneath it cosy and intimate. Meals are a sociable, informal affair in the long kitchen-diner, where doors flood the room with light.

Step outside to enjoy your own private heated swimming pool in the summer months in the walled Peacock Garden, or sink into the cedar hot tub in the large courtyard garden. Venture further into the 14-acre estate, where you’ll find a shared children’s adventure playground, astro tennis court, gym, massage therapy room and yoga/pilates studio.

After long happy days and convivial evenings, it’s off to bed. Choose the Blue Bedroom for a super king bed and a walk-in wet room or the African Bedroom, with its intriguing artworks and a roll top bath in the ensuite. These are just two of the five ensuite rooms, another of which is the Peacock Shed, a separate little hideaway for two.

The Barn at Windrush can be booked for up to 12 adults and 2 children, or you can book the entire Windrush Hyde Estate if you have a larger party.
