Loch Tay Lodge in Perthshire

Sleeps 29, Bedrooms: 13

A Victorian hunting lodge on the banks of magnificent Loch Tay

Warm, and welcoming, Loch Tay Lodge in Perthshire is everything you could wish for in a Scottish retreat. A former hunting lodge, it blends Victorian splendour with contemporary comforts and creates a wonderful atmosphere for a family gathering or special celebration for up to 29 guests.

Relax in receptions rooms with sumptuous, deep-pile rugs, rugged stone walls and show-stealing lighting fixtures, wrought from iron. Get cosy round the fire in the snug, grab a classic from the shelf in the library, and dine with loch views at the breakfast table, in the formal dining room or on the terrace. Cooking is a dream in the superbly equipped kitchen that sits in the heart of the house. Boogie on down in the party room or chill out in the sun room, watching the ever-changing light on the loch. Set up the pool table in the games room, watch a movie in the media room and enjoy drinks at the bar.

Outside, you have four acres of Scottish landscape to yourselves. Stroll through the woods, crossing stone bridges over a tumbling burn and immersing yourself among ancient trees. Follow meandering pathways to firepits, where you can toast marshmallows or gather for a barbecue. Take the path to the shores of the loch for wild swimming. Bedtime offers four-posters and sleigh beds in rustic rooms with modern ensuites and luxury bed linen and towels.

Wrapped in its history and yet right up to date for a party, Loch Tay Lodge brings together all the ingredients of a perfect Scottish break - including a seven-person hot tub looking out over the loch to the magnificent Ben Lawers mountain range.

Guest Reviews

The most amazing house. Spotless from top to bottom with so many rooms to accommodate every need. Grounds are immaculate thanks to John. Would recommend this place to anyone. An amazing house that gave us amazing memories.

Phenomenal, amazing, most superb house. This house is so impressive with the most beautiful grounds and views. There were 26 of us with fabulous facilities for us all to have something to do without getting in each other's way. Yet, when we all wanted to be together there was the fabulous dining room and snug room in which there was room for us all to celebrate and enjoy. We had the most amazing time and really hope we get the chance to go back again.

Our special family celebration was all the more enjoyable in this quite stunning country house. Equipped to an unbelievably high level throughout and overlooking Loch Tay, our family spent a quality week enjoying the many outdoor activities and the relaxing luxury of the many features of the house itself. We couldn't have chosen a better venue and the sun shone all week. What happy memories!!
