On a forest-clad mountain in the West of Scotland, Glenlochan has the most amazing views. Full-length windows, bifold doors and a terrace sweeping the length of the house are designed to make the most of them. Whether you’re gathered for dinner, relaxing in the lounge, or off to bed, the mountains are your backdrop.
Glenlochan is a late 1960s one-off. Its upside-down design, remote controlled Lutron lighting and modern glamour echo the set of a James Bond film. Spend time together in the lounge, with its Italian Flexform furniture and bifold doors that can be thrown open to the terrace. Relax with a whisky and good book in the warm embrace of the library, play the piano, or hit the well-equipped gym. Enjoy memorable mealtimes in the stunning open-plan kitchen-diner glass box and, out on the terrace, wind down in the hot tub. Wherever you are, those Highland views soothe your spirit.
Outside, explore 40 acres of gardens; find the orchard, wander through though the woodlands, cross the bridge over the pond, and discover the stone gazebo. On warm evenings, cook a barbecue on the terrace before heading inside for movies in the cinema room.
The bedrooms, like the living areas, are tastefully decorated and make the most of the mountain views. Dyson hairdryers, high thread count bedlinens and bathrobes, and luxury, organic toiletries make you feel as pampered as if you were in a Swiss spa.

We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Glenlochan just perfect. In all of our country houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 2pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at midday (12 noon).

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for at least 7 cars in the courtyard.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Glenlochan. One travel cot and one highchair are available on request (please bring your own cot linen), as well as children's books and toys. Please note, parents should supervise children at all times as there is a pond in the grounds and a hot tub. There are also three main staircases so care needs to be taken with toddlers.

Are pets allowed?
Sorry, pets are not allowed at Glenlochan.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Sorry, Glenlochan is not suitable for hen or stag parties. We politely ask that this is respected.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Tesco for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 2pm on the day of arrival.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?
The dining room table seats 12 guests and the dining table in the kitchen seats 10 guests.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Glenlochan. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
