Welcome to Wales, where just a hop across the border from England feels like you've entered a new world entirely. This compact country boasts inspiring hills, formidable castles and moody coastlines of crumbling rock and golden sand.
The downstairs rooms are made cosy by squishy sofas, oak beams and log fires. A delightful snug and two large lounges provide the social spaces for relaxing, while a modern, well-equipped kitchen, breakfast room and formal dining room set the scene for memorable meal times. Enjoy a few games in the pool room, break out the board games for some family fun or find a quiet corner in the snug and curl up with a book.
Outside, there is space for adventures in the woods, for soaking up the sun on the south facing lawns, and for romantic walks in the rose garden. There’s also a wonderful walled kitchen garden and an orchard to explore. If you are planning a party or event, it can take place in any number of outdoor spaces, including the fold yard, the lawns or the woodlands. There are beautiful indoor options too, for your celebrations, including the low-beamed barn, which can be bedecked with fairy lights for a magical atmosphere.

We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Garden Court just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.
In the rural Herefordshire village of Bodenham. Go wildlife watching at Bodenham Lake and the River Lugg, which runs through the village or take a drive to the city of Hereford and visit the cider museum and see the Mappa Mundi in Hereford Cathedral. Spend an afternoon tootling along the black and white village trail and, if you’re travelling in spring, visit the cider orchards to see the trees in blossom.
Yes, the property can accommodate up to 170 day guests in five unique locations (3 inside, 2 outside) which are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. It's also fully licensed and has a music and entertainment license. Please contact us for more information about events at Garden Court.
Up to four well-behaved dogs are welcome (more may be accepted on request at the owner's discretion), on the provision they sleep in the cloakroom area and have beds brought for them. There is a fee of £20 per dog that covers additional cleaning.
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival at Garden Court, and check out is at 10am (or 1pm if checking out on a Sunday).
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Garden Court. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
Yes. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

There is an indoor dining table at Garden Court that can seat 22 guests (or up to 32 on request - no extra charge). There is also seating for 8-10 in the breakfast room and the kitchen table seats 6-8 too.
