In the drawing room, enjoy drinks and chatter in the glow of the wood burner, with a view of the Cromdale Mountains through gallery windows. When you need a moment to restore your equilibrium, sneak away to the snug, or the library, where rich reds and deep blues add a sumptuous air.
A brand-new contemporary kitchen has all you need to make amazing meals, eaten in the light-filled conservatory dining room. There's even a separate commercial kitchen available if you are using outside caterers (additional cost). Then retire to the piano bar; put your best musician on the grand piano and settle in with a single malt.
On warm days, spread out on the patios and enjoy views of the Cairngorms National Park. There’s a barbecue here and a fire pit for chillier evenings. As the stars come out, top up your champagne and slide into the hot tub. Later, the eleven Scottish themed bedrooms, all boasting luxury ensuites, promise deep, restful slumber.
At Cromarty House, Scotland’s mountains, forests and lochs are yours to explore, from the Cairngorms, to Loch Morlich, to the Braes of Abernethy. We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Cromarty House just perfect. In all of our country houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a family group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival at Cromarty House, and check out is 10am.

How many cars can park at the property?
The parking area can comfortably accommodate 15 cars.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Cromarty House. Travel cots and highchairs are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise children due to the hot tub in the grounds.

Are pets allowed?
Up to five well-behaved dogs are allowed at Cromarty House, at no extra charge. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on soft furnishings. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead in the gardens due to livestock in the fields surrounding the property.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Mature hen and stag parties are sometimes permitted, subject to prior agreement with the property owner. Please contact us before booking to discuss.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Sainsbury's or Tesco for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?
The large, bright conservatory gives you space to all dine together as a group, with tables that can seat up to 22 guests.

Can you recommend any local places to eat out?
Yes, we'd recommend the following pubs and restaurants, all within a short distance of the property (click on the links below):
Known for its nice ales and gourmet table restaurant. They also have regular live music and outdoor seating.
A long bar with quite a few tables and a restaurant section at the back. Occasional live music.
A popular choice with a separate bar attached to the hotel. They offer a variety of ales and beers, snacks, and have Sky Sports available. Music is played every night and sometimes during the day at weekends.
A bit more expensive but has plenty of room and caters for larger groups.
A smaller bar area that primarily caters to food, but they have a great selection of ales, especially since it's owned by the Cairngorm brewery.

How private is the property?
Cromarty House is located on a large country estate where there are also three small, luxury self-catering lodges in the grounds (approximately 200m away). Cromarty House has its own private entrance and grounds.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Cromarty House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
