Cailean Lodge Hero

Cailean Lodge Scotland

Where super-cool interiors meet awe-inspiring views

Gather your nearest and dearest and escape to Cailean Lodge in Highland Perthshire, where Scotland’s wild beauty is beamed into super-cool interiors though plentiful picture windows. As an intimate getaway on its own or booked with Cailean House as a self-contained outpost from the main house, it’s perfect for a break with friends or family.

A complete refurbishment of this old caretaker’s lodge has resulted in a sleek and sociable property with four double bedrooms and an open plan living space. The stylish minimalism of the large living area is carefully softened with an array of textures and design details, from fur throws to the fabulous feature fireplace which creates a cosy centrepiece. With the kitchen and dining area part of this open space, you can prepare meals and grab drinks without breaking up the party.

The calming neutral interiors serve as a backdrop to the stunning natural vista outside. Every window frames the dramatic Scottish landscape, and the hill-top location affords breath-taking views down the valley towards the River Tay. Slide open the full-length windows and step onto the decking, where the Scottish air is pure and the wonder of nature is before you. From this elevated platform, watch the sunset with a drink in your hand and your favourite people around you. What could be more blissful?

When the day draws to a close, the bedrooms are every bit as pleasing as you’d hope. The two super king rooms and two king-size rooms are all ensuite, with splashes of colour, pattern and texture adding richness and warmth.

The Fairtrade town of Aberfeldy, with its foodie scene, bookshops and galleries, is just a walk away. Other walks directly from the lodge include the Birks of Aberfeldy up to the Falls of Moness, a landscape that takes its name from the poem by Robert Burns, which celebrates its singular beauty.

Cailean Lodge is available for your exclusive use for self-catering. Or, why not take advantage of our full catering and concierge services – all available at an additional charge and fully tailored to your needs – so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience.
