Horseshoe House, just outside the beautiful city of Bath, is a house for celebrations. In a previous life it was a welcoming pub and now it has been restored above and beyond its former glory, to offer luxury break accommodation for up to 18 guests (or up to 30 with additional cost, see below). Furnished in vibrant colours and textures, equipped with everything from a Bluetooth streaming system to a grand piano, and with an acre of outdoor space, it’s perfect for a family celebration. Hold tournaments in the games room, dine around the grand banqueting table, and relax in the outdoor hot tub. Take a book down from the groaning bookshelves, spin some of your favourite vinyl on the record player and watch from the terrace as the kids hare about the garden or play on the trampoline. When bedtime beckons – after a nightcap in the cosy snug bar – sanctuary awaits. All eight rooms are styled individually with a perfect mix of elegance and comfort, and there’s a practical combination of family rooms and double rooms with zip and link beds. Nearby attractions to keep the children occupied include the city of Bath, Longleat Safari Park and the Cotswold Water Park.

Additional charges for the double sofa beds (per sofa bed, per stay) are: £200 for 2-night stays; £250 for 3-night weekend or 4-night midweek stays and £500 for 7-night stays.

What to expect
We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Horseshoe House just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, our owners provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am (or 4pm if checking out on a Sunday).

There is parking for around 15 cars. There are also EV charging points for electric cars.

Are pets allowed?
Yes, up to 3 dogs are welcome by prior agreement, subject to a fee of £25 per dog (dogs to be kept downstairs please).

Are stag or hen parties welcome?
Yes, generally well-behaved stag and hen parties are welcome by prior agreement where groups are comfortable adhering to the noise policy. Please call to book or place your booking request online.

The dining room table can seat a maximum of 24 guests. There is also a table in the breakfast room that can seat 10.
