Wyatt Castle in Dorset

Sleeps 20, Bedrooms: 9

STAY IN SPLENDOUR BY THE SEA

Wreathed in glamour, historic Wyatt Castle overlooks the English Channel on the Isle of Portland in Dorset. In this neo-Gothic world of turrets and terraces, which has played host to royalty, filmmakers and celebrities, live up to your own style. With bedrooms for up to 20 guests, space for day guests in the summer and its own helipad, Wyatt Castle is perfect for your special celebration, family gathering or corporate event.

From the elegant, sea-facing drawing room, with its opulent chandeliers and comfy sofas, to the stunning library, with its curved walls and grand piano, the living areas surround you in understated luxury. Seek out the study to watch TV or step into the conservatory to soak up the views. Enjoy a dip in the large, indoor pool, making the most of the sea views. In the early summer, the pool room is transformed into an orangery, making it a memorable venue for weddings and events (see further details below).

Dine in the drawing room, the conservatory, the dining room or the garden, to match your mood. Outside, the lovingly tended terraces follow pathways through the English garden, Italian garden and Japanese garden, where you can find your zen in the tea house. Back on the sun terrace, relax on loungers and enjoy a barbecue. Wherever you roam, the everchanging sea is your companion.

Visit Tout Quarry Sculpture Park, Portland Bill and Chesil Beach, explore Thomas Hardy country, and head to Weymouth for its seaside atmosphere, Sealife centre and bars and restaurants. When you return to your castle, the nine ensuite bedrooms are restful, with views over the gardens or out to sea, luxury bed linen and sumptuous mattresses. Sweet dreams!
