Wander from the drawing room to the music room – complete with Steinway grand piano and a well-considered library – and from there to the light-filled dining room and orangery. Spill out into the half-acre garden, where happy children can play all day on the trampoline, swings and wooden climbing frame.
From the Miele appliances in the kitchen to the Sonos sound system filling the house with music, every detail has the hallmark of quality. We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Tarn House just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival, and check out is at 10am (or 4pm if checking out on a Sunday).

Yes, there is a charcoal BBQ with charcoal provided.

Is the house suitable for children?
Yes, children are very welcome. There is a selection of toys and books. For little ones, there is a highchair and two cots.

Are stag or hen parties allowed?
Sorry, we don't accept bookings for all male groups/stag parties or all female groups/hen parties at Tarn House.

Are pets allowed?
Yes, up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome (there is an £80 fee per dog).

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,500 during your stay at Tarn House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
