Just a 5-minute drive from Southsea is Spinnaker Tower, offering breath-taking panoramic views, an incredible glass floor and a Sky Garden for an ‘on top of the world’ feeling. Why not book an afternoon tea experience, or for the more adventurous, a 100-metre abseil?
Why not take a day trip to the Isle of Wight right from Southsea? There’s a hovercraft service that takes just 10 minutes to get to Ryde on the Isle of Wight.

Southsea has a huge expanse of green known as Southsea Common; just minutes from Solent House. It’s a great space to relax, but also home to a large number of events including the Southsea Show, Military Vehicle Show, Para Spectacular, Kite Festival, a variety of circuses, and the popular Victorious Festival.

Yes, while there is a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering at Solent House, we can put you in touch with some very good local private chefs that can cater for you and your guests for a special celebratory meal, or for every meal during your stay.
Yes! The house is well-suited to children with a cot and highchair available.
Yes, you can arrange for a local supermarket to deliver to the property any time during your stay. We ask that the time booked is after your check-in time, as it’s possible the housekeeper won’t be at the property before that time.
The check-in time is 4pm on the day of your arrival, and check-out is at 10am on the day of your departure.
Sorry, strictly no pets allowed at Solent House. We politely request that this is respected.
Yes, there is off-road parking available for up to 5 cars, with more available on the road in the locality.
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Solent House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
