Perched on a Cotswold hillside, Silverhill is an upside-down house with far-reaching views and a laid-back layout. As you enter the one-acre grounds, you feel you have stumbled on a secret. All but hidden from the entrance, it opens out to a vista that takes in the Gloucestershire countryside and Cheltenham town. Inside, those views are ever-present. Float around the open plan living areas that form the upper floor of the house and float just as effortlessly out to the balcony overlooking the valley. A contemporary design scheme makes space for a cosy wood burner and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the views. The reassuringly traditional kitchen has all mod cons, like the boiling water tap and bean-to-cup coffee machine, to make life easy and pleasurable. Drop down a floor to find the cinema room and a cosy two-person sauna, along with the sleeping quarters.

Outside, the children will love climbing on the wooden play equipment while you fire up the barbecue and pizza oven. Later, when the wood-fired hot tub is ready, sink into the bubbles and watch the lights in the valley twinkle. When it’s time for bed, the five hotel-quality double bedrooms are stylish and luxurious and some have countryside views. This modern hillside house also has multi-room Sonos speakers and easy access to awe-inspiring Cotswold walks in the surrounding hills. If you’re looking for somewhere special for friends or family to gather, it offers everything you could wish for - and those amazing views!

We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Silverhill just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?

Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am.
How many cars can park at the property?

There is parking for 8 cars at the property.
Are children welcome?

Children are very welcome at Silverhill. Two travel cots and two highchairs are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Children's toys, books and games are also available. Please note, parents should supervise children at all times around the outdoor playground.
Are pets allowed?

Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed at Silverhill, subject to a fee of £25 per dog. Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or on soft furnishings.
Are stag and hen parties allowed?

Hen parties are welcome at this property. Respectful stag parties are sometimes permitted, but only with express permission from the property owner prior to booking. Please contact us to discuss.
Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?

Yes, you can order online with Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's or Morrisons for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.
How many guests can sit at the dining table?

The dining table can seat up to 10 guests. There are 4 bar stools on the adjacent kitchen island.
Can you recommend any local places to eat out?

Additional day guests may be invited by prior agreement only (charges may be applicable). Please contact us prior to booking to discuss.

The nearest train station is Cheltenham (4 miles).
What is the nearest airport?

The nearest airports are Bristol (53 miles) or Birmingham (60 miles).
Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?

Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £500 during your stay at Silverhill. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
How do I book?

You can check availability and pricing and place your booking request online, or by calling our team on 01242 352 747.

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
