Perched above the Waterford shoreline, Ocean Bay House is an architect-designed holiday home that captures the spirit of coastal Ireland. Step into the light-filled entrance hall and your first gasp comes from the ocean view in front of you. In every room this view expands, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the bay.
At one end of this contemporary longhouse, relax in a cosy sitting room which opens onto a sea-facing terrace. On the other side of the entrance hall, there’s space for everyone in the palatial lounge, where you can enjoy the blaze in the sleek fireplace and play a tune on the baby grand piano. In the kitchen, grab a coffee and sit at the breakfast counter facing the sea. Another fireplace in the dining room keeps you cosy at the long oak table. In the main rooms, vaulted timber-clad ceilings rise above you and the soft, neutral colour schemes complement the everchanging hues of the sea and sky.
From the dining room, slide open the doors to the raised terrace to enjoy the sunshine - and when the Atlantic brings the weather in, disappear into the cinema room at the other end of the house. Down a level, another sea-facing terrace runs the length of the house and the 5* hotel-style bedrooms open onto it. Down here too, jump into the hot tub, work out in the gym area and enjoy the cleansing therapy of the steam room. Open the gate for a walk into the village or over the headland. Two minutes’ stroll away, you can also experience spa facilities and a Michelin starred restaurant at the Ocean Bay House’s sister hotel.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 11am.

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for 6 cars at the property.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Ocean Bay House. Travel cots, highchairs and baby gates are available on request (cot linen also provided). Please note, parents should supervise children at all times due to the different levels of the terraces and around the hot tub area.

Are pets allowed?
Sorry, pets are not allowed at Ocean Bay House (except guide dogs).

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Sorry, Ocean Bay House is not suitable for hen or stag parties. We politely ask that this is respected.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £4,200 during your stay at Ocean Bay House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
