Moorbeck Hall reflects its natural surroundings on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. This beautiful, grade l listed, Georgian home, with 10 luxury bedrooms, has been sensitively and creatively reimagined for memorable group breaks.
Neutral tones, natural materials and eye-catching design details draw you into a space that feels both calm and inspiring. Original Georgian features are celebrated, and complemented by eclectic artworks, contemporary comforts and statement furnishings, such as the hand-made heather chandelier in the reception hall.
Enjoy views across the deer park from the sitting room, with music from the Sonos sound system, or head into the second sitting room to strum the electric guitar or choose some records to play. If you’re wondering where everyone is, try the 20-seater cinema room. Or the cocktail bar. Or the games room. Or the yoga room. Or the loggia, with its baby grand piano. Get back together around the huge, reclaimed oak dining table and enjoy lunch prepared on V-ZUG Swiss appliances in the hand-crafted kitchen.
Outside, take in breathtaking views of the lake, the grounds and the deer park, and explore 2,500 acres of private reserve. Make your way to the lake for wild swimming and a spell in the mirrored sauna and use the Green Egg barbecue for al fresco meals on the sunny terrace. Out and about, visit the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the local market town of Ilkley.
At bedtime, spacious ensuite rooms await with super-king beds, quirky rainfall showers, roll tops baths and Chapter Organics toiletries. Moorbeck Hall sleeps up to 20, but for bigger celebrations, you can book further bedrooms, along with a grand dining room with seating for up to 90 guests (additional charges apply).

We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Moorbeck Hall just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 11am.

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for 8 cars at the front of the hall and 5 cars at the back of the hall. There is additional parking for up to 50 cars in the guest car park.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Moorbeck Hall. Highchairs, cots and small children's beds are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise children at all times due to the lake in the grounds.

Are pets allowed?
Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed at Moorbeck Hall, subject to a fee of £50 per dog. Dogs are not allowed upstairs in the bedrooms or on soft furnishings. We also ask that dogs are kept on a lead outdoors as there is wildlife on the reserve.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Respectful hen and stag parties are only permitted subject to prior agreement with the property owner. Please contact us before booking to discuss on 01242 352747.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Sainsbury's for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?
The large oak dining table in the kitchen dining room can seat up to 24 guests. The Fairfax dining room is available for events should guests take the east and west wing bedrooms, seating up to 90 guests (additional charges apply for events). Please also see catering restrictions FAQ below.

Are there any restrictions about catering at the property?
Please note, all self catering must take place in the central dining and kitchen area and not in the catering kitchen. For large events or dinners for over 30 people, all catering must be managed by the estate’s events team (please also see dining room FAQ above).

Are there any other properties on the estate?
There are other holiday rental properties on the wider estate but please note, these are located quite a distance from the Hall, so will not impact your stay.

The nearest train stations are Ben Rhydding (1.5 miles) or Ilkley (2.5 miles).

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,500 during your stay at Moorbeck Hall. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
