Space and light are abundant at this beautiful New England style house, situated in an enviable position within the South Downs National Park. Sleeping up to 15 guests (where the group includes at least 2 children) in six stunning bedrooms, the house is flooded with natural light, which streams through floor-to-ceiling ‘A’ frame windows. Large and stylishly furnished rooms with gable ceilings flow into one another, from the grand entrance hall, to the spacious and convivial living room, to the luxury, open-plan kitchen. Downstairs, a heated, indoor swimming pool opens out onto a paved patio with hot tub and five acres of manicured gardens. What to Expect
We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Meon House just perfect. In all of our luxury houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
The check-in time is 4pm on the day of your arrival, and check-out is at 10am on the day of your departure.
We’re occasionally asked for a late check-out, and while this is sometimes possible (with an extra fee of £400 up to 3pm), we can usually only confirm this on the week before your stay as it can sometimes depend on whether guests are booked in after your stay.

Are there private chefs that can cater for us during our stay?
Yes, while there is a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering at Meon House, we can put you in touch with some very good local private chefs that can cater for you and your guests for a special celebratory meal, or for every meal during your stay.

Can I book an online supermarket delivery?
Yes, you can arrange for a local supermarket to deliver to the property any time during your stay. We ask that the time booked is after your check-in time, as it’s possible the house-keeper won’t be at the property before that time.

Are children welcome?
Yes! The house is well-suited to children with one full-size cot and one highchair available.

Do you accept pets?
One small dog (max) is allowed at Meon House, subject to a fee of £100 and only with prior agreement with the property owner. The dog breed must be disclosed at the time of booking. No dogs are allowed in any of the bedrooms or on the soft furnishings and must sleep downstairs in a room agreed with the house owner (usually the utility room). We also ask that dogs are kept on a lead in the gardens as there isn’t secure fencing around the whole property and there are also horses in the fields surrounding the property.

Do you hold a cautionary deposit?
Yes, we ask for a refundable cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Meon House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

How do I book?
You can book online or by calling our friendly team on 01242 352 747. When booking, we ask for a deposit of 1/3 of the total price, with the balance payable 3 months prior to your stay.
