A FAIRY-TALE CASTLE CLOSE TO EDINBURGH

This stunning Scottish baronial manor is a luxury hideaway for the exclusive use of just 10 guests. On arrival, a fairy-tale castle greets you and when you step through the doorway, the glamorous interiors are breathtaking. A stylish black and white theme runs through many of the rooms, from the living room with its zebra print rugs and grand piano to the master bedroom suite with its white Chesterfield sofa and black chandelier. Meanwhile, another drawing room opts for a neutral palette that catches the sun through huge bay windows. Original artworks add more drama, and it’s hard to believe that you have this luxury to yourselves. When you can drag yourself away from these fabulous rooms, seek out the traditional Scottish bar and plush cinema room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all your home comforts, including a Nespresso machine and an Aga, you can eat in the open plan dining area or the decadent dining room. The five bedroom suites are sophisticated and sumptuous and the ensuite bathrooms variously boast Italian marble tiles, roll-top baths and walk-in showers. All have luxury towels and Isle of Arran toiletries.

Outside, spread yourselves out on one of the two furnished terraces, where there are sunbeds, comfy seating, a gas BBQ and fire pit. Or you can play tennis or explore the landscaped grounds and wander through the woodlands to the waterfall.

Kirkbryce Castle is just 12 miles from Edinburgh and within a 30-minute drive of 15 major golf courses, making it the ideal choice for a couples’ weekend which pleases everyone. A housekeeper is on hand throughout your stay (lives off-site) and you can choose to hire extra staff such as a chef, chauffeur or concierge.

We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Kirkbryce Castle just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a family group or corporate getaway. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. What are the check in and check out times?

Check in is at 3pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 11am.
How many cars can park at the property?

There is parking for 10 cars at the property.
Are children welcome?

Children are very welcome at Kirkbryce Castle. A travel cot, highchair and baby bath are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise young children at all times due to the height of the main stairwell balcony.
Are pets allowed?

Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed at Kirkbryce Castle, subject to prior agreement with the owner, for a fee of £80 per dog for 2-night stays, £120 for 3-night stays, £160 for 4-night stays and £280 for 7-nights stays. Please note dogs must be kept in the property's bespoke dog facility which is situated 500m from the house, staffed by professional dog handlers.
Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?

Yes, you can order online with Co-op (via Deliveroo) for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 3pm on the day of arrival.
Are stag and hen parties allowed?

Respectful hen and stag parties are sometimes permitted, but only by prior approval from the property owner. Please contact us before booking to discuss.
How many guests can sit at the dining table?

The dining table in the formal dining room can seat up to 10 guests. The breakfast room table seats up to 14 guests.
Can you recommend any local places to eat out?

What is the nearest train station?

The nearest train station is Kirknewton (just 1 mile from the property).
What is the nearest airport?

The nearest airport is Edinburgh (8 miles).
Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?

Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Kirkbryce Castle. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
How do I book?

You can check availability and pricing and place your booking request online, or by calling our team on 01242 352 747.

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
