Downstairs, the drawing room is the perfect focal point for evening drinks, afternoon tea or a quiet snooze by the large open fire. Of course there is Wi-Fi throughout so you can keep on top of those emails if you really must, and Sky TV if you want to sit back and enjoy a movie. The adjacent library is a perfect spot for catching up on classic novels or putting the world to rights over a glass of single malt. The rugs on the floor, the subtle shades of the paintwork on the walls, the uplighters, scatter cushions and fireplaces, all serve to make these rooms elegant, comfortable, and charming, in turn making you feel very much at home.

The dining room boasts a huge limestone fireplace, wonderful wood panelling, an inglenook and impressive drapes creating a magnificent rural style. And, of course, there are elegant glasses, dining sets and crockery to match, all creating a wonderful ambience for home dining. Next door, the kitchen is the perfect setting for creating wonderful dishes. With the Belfast sink, the range cooker and the SMEG fridge, the kitchen itself creates that perfect rural ambience. If cooking is your thing, you will have a whale of a time perfecting scrumptious meals, but if you’d rather not, we can provide somebody to cook for you.

One thing about this house, you need never be bored! Whether you are looking for a genteel walk around the elegant gardens, a strenuous game of tennis or a long walk in the countryside, there is no shortage of things to do both at the house itself and further afield. The house has Wi-Fi, TV and a library so if you just want to chill out reading, catching a movie or emailing your mates, you’re sorted! Next door to the house, the barn has a mini-billiards table and a TV with soft furnishings, making it a great place to relax on a rainy afternoon. Why not recapture your youth with some of the board games on offer? There is also a mini-gym with weights, a couple of exercise bikes and a shower to freshen up afterwards. There is also a tennis court so no shortage of activities without even leaving the property!

The nearest golf club is just a mile and a half away and there is a riding school just ten minutes away by car. Of course there are some absolutely delightful walks in the area with magnificent views of lots of beautiful cottages, churches and other buildings to enjoy. Why not stroll to Whichford Mill and explore the history of the two mills that have been there since 1086? Or visit the Cotswold Distillery or the Cotswold Decorative Ironworkers, all within easy walking distance. The nearest pub is less than ten minutes' walk away so it is ideal for a relaxing lunch or an early-evening pint. Of course, the Cotswolds has over 3,000 miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore, with beautiful ancient woodlands, wildflower meadows and stunning scenery. And with year round markets, fetes, festivals and sports gatherings, you’re bound to find something that tickles your fancy. And this is just the property to do it from!
