Ebrington Manor

Ebrington Manor Heart of England

An ancient beauty in the heart of England

Owned by the same family since the 15th century, Ebrington Manor is one of our most beautiful Cotswold manor houses. Situated amidst the orchards of a fruit farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is the very essence of rural England. Modern luxuries make your stay a pleasure within these ancient walls, where a hamper of local treats and cider from the farm shop await you. Linger in the oak-panelled hall with its balustraded gallery, where late afternoon sunlight is suffused through west-facing windows, watch a film in the TV room, or gather in the drawing room, which has several relaxed seating areas. The practical catering kitchen is ideal if you want to bring your own chef so you can relax and enjoy meals in the sumptuous dining room.

Outside, after a swim in the lake, enjoy a barbecue on the boma firepit. Explore the gardens too, from the wisteria-clad front, where the scent of ancient roses fills the air, to the Tortoise Garden - the perfect spot for evening drinks. The walled Rose Garden is overlooked by an open-sided summerhouse with power, lighting and broadband; a beautiful spot for work, a game of table tennis or alfresco dining. When sleep beckons, gorgeous bedrooms speak of the history of the house, from The Schoolroom to Miss Sedgley’s Room (the family’s 1940s governess). After a refreshing sleep, awaken to sweeping views across unspoilt Cotswold countryside to Broadway Tower.

Guest Reviews

We had a splendid weekend at Ebrington Manor, a lovely house, full of history and character, and with the rare advantage of having 8 good bedrooms all with en-suites. The grounds are beautiful, typically English, even down to the country pond beside which we dined, and later even swam in. The service was exemplary and we'd highly recommend the place for a civilized get together or a special occasion.

Ebrington Summer House

Situated in the parkland of Ebrington Manor is the lovely Summer House, standing against the backdrop of the spring-fed lake, between apple and pear orchards, with gorgeous views of the Cotswolds countryside. Built in the Queen Anne style, it was used by previous generations of the owner’s family as a banqueting hall, before being later converted to residential use.

There is a grand sitting room in the former banqueting hall with high ceilings and dual aspect windows, a fully equipped eat in kitchen and dining room plus a TV snug in the barrel-vaulted former cellar. Upstairs are two double bedrooms (one with a super king size bed and one with a king size bed) with two adjacent bathrooms. Outside, the two lawns have various seating areas (including an al fresco dining area) and a BBQ.

Price to add the Summer House to your booking: £495 per night (minimum stay of 3 nights).

Please note: the maximum capacity for Ebrington Manor, including use of the Summer House, must not exceed 16 guests. The Summer House is only bookable in conjunction with the main house.
