Stay toasty with the underfloor heating and have music wherever you go, with the Sonos sound system. When you’re not working out in the mini gym, playing pool, or sinking into the wraparound sofa in front of the huge TV and cosy log burner, hang out in Winstons bar, drinking cocktails. Complete with piano and doors to the patio, it's ultimate room for fun.
Out on the terrace, the pool has some of the best views of any swimming pool in the country. After a swim, throw a few steaks on the barbecue and watch the sun set over the valley.
Perfect for an intimate gathering of up to 12 guests, Amberford House has five immaculate double bedrooms (one which can be split into twin beds) in the main house with another as part of the self-contained condo in the coach house. Whichever bedroom you choose, you wake up each day to amazing views.
Surrounded by the beauty of the Cotswolds, Amberford House is secluded and secure but it’s not isolated. There are many walks from your doorstep and the house is also within walking distance some great dining pubs.

What to Expect
We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Amberford House just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival at Amberford House, and check out is at 10am.

Is the swimming pool warm?
The swimming pool is heated to 28 degrees Celsius from mid April until the end of September.

Are pets allowed?
Sorry, pets are not allowed at Amberford House.

Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome at Amberford House. A cot (proper cot) and a highchair are available - please bring your own cot linen.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online at Ocado, Tesco, Sainsbury's or Waitrose. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?
There is a dining table at Amberford House that can seat 10 guests comfortably.

Are there local places to eat you can recommend?
Yes. There are three great pubs within walking distance of the house; The Amberely Inn, The Black Horse Inn and The Old Lodge. We’d recommend The Old Lodge in Minchinhampton which is around a 30 minute walk from the house or The Crown, which is about a 45 minute walk.
There’s also the Michelin Star restaurant, Wilder, which is just 1.2 miles away. Don’t forget to book ahead.
Woodchester Valley Vineyard, which you can see from the house, is also well worth a visit.

Are there any house rules we need to be aware of?
Yes, to ensure you have a wonderful and memorable stay at Amberford House we ask that you understand the following important house rules:
- No fireworks please
- Not suitable for stag or hen parties
- No additional day-guests please. The maximum number of guests at the house must not exceed 12 (without prior agreement).

How close is Amberford House to the nearest train station?
Stroud Station is about 10 minutes' drive from the property.

How close is Amberford House to the nearest airport?
Bristol Airport is about an hour’s drive from the property.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £3,000 during your stay at Amberford House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
