Solent House is a handsome villa on a quiet residential road, just 30 seconds' walk from the seafront at Southsea in Portsmouth. Here, you can gather all the generations of the family, or come as a group of families, for a good, old-fashioned, seaside holiday. Not that there’s anything old fashioned about this stunning property. It’s like having a boutique hotel all to yourselves, with well-appointed en-suite bedrooms, sleeping up to 20, and spacious, beautifully furnished living areas for when you all get together. Yes, while there is a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering at Solent House, we can put you in touch with some very good local private chefs that can cater for you and your guests for a special celebratory meal, or for every meal during your stay.

Yes! The house is well-suited to children with a cot and highchair available.

Can I book an online supermarket delivery?
Yes, you can arrange for a local supermarket to deliver to the property any time during your stay. We ask that the time booked is after your check-in time, as it’s possible the housekeeper won’t be at the property before that time.

The check-in time is 4pm on the day of your arrival, and check-out is at 10am on the day of your departure.

Do you hold a cautionary deposit?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Solent House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
