Rockmoor House is situated within the Dartmoor National Park and Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), perfect for walking, cycling and horse-riding. The golf course (pay and play) is two minutes away and other outdoor pursuits such as climbing, kayaking and clay-pigeon shooting are all nearby. The nearest towns, Yelverton and Tavistock, have a plethora of traditional butchers, bakers and delis and the Pannier market in Tavistock has cafes, market stalls and a superb cheese shop. Make sure you find the Flapjackery for some sweet delights!
We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Rockmoor House just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

There is parking for 8 cars at Rockmoor House.
Children are very welcome at Rockmoor House. One travel cot and one highchair are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise children at all times due to the ornamental pond and hot tub in the grounds and the balcony in the Giraffe bedroom.
Two dogs are allowed at Rockmoor House, subject to a fee of £50 per dog. Dogs are only allowed in the downstairs areas and are not allowed upstairs or on any soft furnishings.
Hen parties may be considered - please ask before booking. Sorry, the owner won't accept stag parties.
The dining table can seat up to 12 guests. In addition, the kitchen island seats 6 on bar stools. The pool table in the games room has a removable table top with bench seating that can seat 6 comfortably. The second floor lounge (when not used as a bedroom) has a dining table that seats up to 6.
Yes, you can order online with Sainsbury's, Tesco or Ocado for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Rockmoor House (£1,500 for hen party bookings). This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).
