Churchside House Hero 1

Churchside Manor North of England

Country charm meets contemporary comfort

Churchside Manor is a delight. Wearing its Victorian good looks with pride, it still makes space for more modern comforts such as a fabulous cinema room and a sheltered hot tub.

The feelgood factor starts with its idyllic setting in an unspoilt Lake District valley, where the rolling fells surround a scattering of Cumbrian stone buildings, including the beautiful church for which Churchside Manor was once the vicarage.

Relax in this rural retreat, sitting on one of the deep window seats with a book, gathering round the island in the country kitchen or soaking up the views from the private gardens. In the living rooms and bedrooms, the warm tones of exposed timber beams and panelling are complemented by rich colours and soft textures, to create an ambience of comfortable opulence.

Wake up to the Lakeland views in the morning, head to Scafell Pike or Drigg beach and come back to the warm embrace of the outdoor hot tub. Enjoy dinner around the long oak table and then hit the games room for some old fashioned arcade games and table football. Finish the evening with a movie in the plush cinema room or relaxing sociably round the fire pit as the stars come out.

When sleep beckons, the bedrooms are cosy and inviting, most with luxury ensuite bathrooms and all with carefully restored period details and those timeless Lake District views. Sleeping up to 14 in seven bedrooms, Churchside Manor is perfect for an escape from city life with close family or your favourite friends.
