Westerly Lodge is an oasis of calm, comfort and luxury on the banks of the River Thames; a place to escape for a blissful break with your favourite people. With a large open plan kitchen and living area, a partly wood-panelled drawing room, and a cinema room that also has a piano, there are plenty of spaces to mingle and to escape for solitude too. And then there’s the studio in the middle of the house, perfect for yoga and fitness work, with the opportunity to book guided yoga, breathwork, gong baths, massage and more.
Back in the living area, throw open the glass wall and feel the meditative peace continue into the garden, which sweeps from the huge limestone terrace, down the immaculate lawns, to a spacious jetty. Here, you can rustle up supper in the riverside kitchen, throw a log on the firepit and watch the sun set, or sneak away into the meditation orb. All this after paddle boarding, canoeing or wild swimming in the river, or playing badminton or boules in the garden. The outside space has more surprises too, including a refreshing splash pool and a rooftop garden with river views – a private spot for your morning coffee.
When night falls, there’s a choice of six generously sized bedrooms and a separate annexe for two (plus two living areas which can be converted into extra bedrooms) with luxury linens, and gorgeous bathrooms with hardwood floors, marble counters and Italian fittings.
This peaceful idyll is just 40 minutes from London – perfect if you need to escape the city and equally perfect if you want to explore it. Westerly Lodge is also in a great location for Royal Ascot, the Henley Regatta and Windsor Castle.

What to Expect
We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Westerly Lodge just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 11am.

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for up to 14 cars on the driveway.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Westerly Lodge but please note large groups of children or children's parties are not permitted. A travel cot and highchair are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Children's toys, books and board games are also provided. Please note, parents should supervise children at all times due to the splash pool and the proximity of the river at the bottom of the garden.

Are pets allowed?
Sorry, pets are not allowed at Westerly Lodge. Please note there are two friendly cats that live on site.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Sorry, Westerly Lodge is not suitable for hen or stag parties. We politely ask that this is respected.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?
The dining table can seat up to 20 guests.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with any of the main supermarkets for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

How private is the property?
There is staff accommodation above the garage which will be occupied, but it has private access, grounds and parking and does not share any facilities with the house.

The nearest train stations are Bourne End (1 mile), Beaconsfield (5 miles), Taplow (5 miles) or Maidenhead (5 miles).

The nearest airport is Heathrow (17 miles).

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £2,000 during your stay at Westerly Lodge. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
