We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Apple Cabin just perfect. In all of our country houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a family group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am (or 4pm if checking out on a Sunday).
There is unlimited parking at Apple Cabin.
Yes, you can order online with any of the main supermarkets (Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Tesco etc) for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.
Children are very welcome at Apple Cabin. Two travel cots and two highchairs are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). There are toys, books and DVDs for children as well as a play area with a trampoline, climbing wall and playhouse. Please note, parents should supervise children at all times around the swimming pool and play area.
Sorry, pets are not allowed at Apple Cabin.
Hen parties are allowed, but sorry we're not able to accept stag parties or all male groups at this property.
The dining table can seat up to 18 guests (20 at a squeeze). If adding the separate, self-contained Barley Lodge to your booking (additional charge), there is a dining table that seats 6 guests.

The White Horse Inn, Bradford-on-Tone (12-minute drive)
A traditional family run pub offering good food, ales and a warm welcome.
The Bear Inn, Wiveliscombe (10-minute drive)
A fantastic, warm and inviting pub serving excellent local ales and hearty, classic British dishes.
The Royal Oak, Hillcommon (8-minute drive)
A welcoming and spacious pub with a wonderful garden area. The menu offers good home cooking with professional twists, using high quality local produce.

A beautiful little bistro with a wonderfully simple menu, with dishes of British, Asian and French influence, as well as classic blackboard specials. A laid back pleasant environment with friendly staff.
The White Hart, Wiveliscombe (10-minute drive)
A former 17th century coaching inn that has been recently refurbished, offering a menu of reconsidered classics.
White Post Cafe, Langford Budville (12-minute drive)
A beautifully situated café, with a garden and views over the Blackdown Hills, with a passion for coffee, fresh seasonal food and delicious home baking.
If you are not booking the separate, self-contained Barley Lodge for your own group (additional charge), it may be let out to another small group. Please note, the lodge is a completely separate and private property, further on down the private drive, and does not share any facilities with Apple Cabin. The houses also cannot be seen from each other.
The nearest train station is Taunton (9 miles).
The nearest airports are Exeter (29 miles) or Bristol (45 miles).
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Apple Cabin (or £1,500 if adding Barley Lodge to your booking). This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
