How do I make a booking?

Once you’ve chosen your preferred property, you can either submit an enquiry online, or simply call us on 0845 643 1352. We’ll confirm the availability and price.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

You can then book with a deposit payment, which is 30% of the total cost of the booking, if your start date is over 3 months away. Within 3 months, the full amount is payable to secure your booking. Our full T&Cs are available here.

What time is check-in and check-out?

The standard check-in time is 4pm, and the check-out time is 10am. It may be possible to arrange an earlier check-in or later check-out, but in some cases this requires an additional fee. Our team will make every effort to accommodate your request.

I own a property. How do I get it listed on your website?

We’re always on the lookout for properties to add to our collection, but we’re selective! If you have a a property which is truly something special, send details (inc. a photo or two) to owners@bighouseexperience.com.

Can I bring my pet?

Many of our properties are pet-friendly, but please check with our team at the time of booking.

Can I visit the property before I book?

Yes! It is usually possible for us to arrange a visit to a property so that you can be assured of the very high standards before committing to your booking. However, you may need to be a little flexible in terms of times/dates as we always make a great effort to avoid disturbing guests using the house.

Why do I need to pay a cautionary deposit?

To protect the property owners from the risk of damage to their property, we collect a cautionary deposit a week before your stay. This amount will be made clear to you before you make your booking, and is usually between £1-3000. It is held in a dedicated account and, assuming no damage, is refunded very shortly after your stay.

Can we have a party at our chosen property?

Yes. Most of our properties are perfect for a wonderful memorable party. We do ask guests to let us know about any party arrangements ahead of booking, as we may need to check certain details (e.g. noise restrictions).

Is there WiFi available?

All of our properties have WiFi. Note that the in some cases the WiFi is not available in all rooms.

Can we arrange a wedding at one of your properties?

Our properties provide a very special setting for a very romantic wedding. Our pricing is based on a residential stay, and so in some cases an additional fee may apply for a wedding, which we can confirm with the property owner.
