Cathedral-like vaulted ceilings and tracery windows are the backdrop to a style and elegance lifted straight from the pages of Country Life magazine. With a fully equipped kitchen complete with Aga, a beautiful sitting room with double doors to the garden, a further room for whatever the occasion demands, and the quirky little Pilgrims’ Bar, the jaw-dropping Medieval architecture is complemented by modern comforts.
Outside, Mary Tudor once walked in these elegant gardens, where now you can soak up the sun, the scents of the borders and the ambrosial views from the sunny terrace. Croquet on the lawn is a must before Pimm’s and a candlelit al fresco supper.
After a day exploring Aldeburgh, sampling oysters from Orford Ness or visiting local villages with their ornate signs, your bedroom is a place of sanctuary. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

Yes, there is plenty of parking available at The Priory.

What is the nearest train station to The Priory?
The nearest mainline train station is Woodbridge Station, a 15 minute drive from The Priory. It's a 1.5 hour journey from London's Liverpool Street Station to Woodbridge.

Are pets allowed?
Up to two dogs are welcome at The Priory (subject to a £25 fee per dog), but must be pre-arranged.

Is the house suitable for children?
Yes, children are very welcome at The Priory and a cot and highchair are available.

Is there a pub within walking distance?
Yes. The Oyster Inn Butley is just a mile away (about 25 minutes' walk).

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes. We suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at The Priory. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

There is lovely dining table at The Priory that can seat 20 guests comfortably.

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 3 months prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 3 months of your stay).
