George House Southsea

George House The South East

A seaside sensation for a memorable meetup

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside, don’t we? George House, a handsome Edwardian town house for up to 12 guests, is just two minutes’ walk from the seafront at Southsea in Hampshire. If you like a house with personality, George House is for you with its lush floral and bold geometric wallpaper, rich colours, and funky design details like the silver octopus candle holder and woodland fox wall light.

Make cooking a pleasure in the fully equipped kitchen, unwind in the restful sitting room, or set up a pool tournament in the games room. In the evening, gather in the cinema room - complete with 105-inch screen - for movies, PS4 games or the big match. Alternatively, sit out on the decked terrace for cocktails and a barbecue or head out to a nearby restaurant. Bedtime brings six individualistic double bedrooms with glamorous ensuite bathrooms or in-room freestanding baths.

There are endless things to do when you stay at George House; don flip flops and sun hats for a day on the beach, mooch around local delis and artisan bakeries, or head to nearby attractions, such as Portsmouth Historic Docks, Marwell Zoo and the Forest of Bere.

Guest reviews

For a group of 12 (6 couples) George House, Southsea was perfect. Each of the 6 large bedrooms had an en-suite and were beautifully furnished. All the living spaces were excellent - the large well stocked kitchen/dining/sitting area, the very comfy lounge, cinema room was fun and games room with pool table and jukebox was great. The house was exceptionally clean and thank you to Paula for showing us around...The house was minutes from the sea and we enjoyed walking along the prom. A fabulous long weekend that was enjoyed by all of us.

I booked George House in Southsea for a family get away and I'm pleased to say the whole experience was great. The house was beautiful with a comfy cinema room, hot tub, juke box, all amenities we could need...All in all we all had the loveliest stay and will 100% be booking again!
