Beckland Grange Hero4

Beckland Grange North of England

An architectural gem, made for memorable celebrations

A grand country house made for entertaining. That’s Beckland Grange, designed by 19th century architect Ewan Christian, whose other triumphs include Glyndebourne and the National Gallery. His gift to us is a 21st century hideaway for bringing together friends, family or colleagues to celebrate, socialise and unwind.

Period details are complemented by modern must-haves. The billiards room boasts a cocktail bar; the bedrooms have ensuites with Travertine tiling and Lefroy Brooks rainfall showers; the main kitchen houses an electric Aga. The tower, recently rebuilt to the original design, offers 360° views of the Cumbrian countryside.

Enjoy celebrations that flow sociably through interconnecting rooms, spilling out into the extensive grounds. Don your whites for tennis, stroll through the walled garden, or spread a picnic blanket beside the lake.

When night comes, retire to one of nine ensuite bedrooms in the main house or one of the three luxury self-contained properties available at additional cost on the estate. Wherever you lay your head, supreme comfort and sweet dreams are a certainty.

Peacefully situated on the edge of the Lake District, yet a surprisingly short drive from the M6, Beckland Grange is as perfect for corporate getaways as it is for time out with friends and family.

Guest review

We have always loved getting friends together and hosting a party or event. We just loaded up the cellars, stocked the fridges and closed the gates to the outside world. It feels like your own private escape.
