Yoxford Manor East of England

A magnificent honey-coloured stone manor

Whether your idea of a country break is just to put up your feet and relax, or whether you prefer gentle relaxation like clay pigeon shooting, or a quiet swim, or even if you like strenuous activities like biking, hiking and tennis, there is bound to be something for you at Yoxford. Developed over 20 years and stretching across 5,000 acres of sprawling Suffolk landscape, this truly is a unique collection of manors, farmhouse, cottages and parkland – everything you need for a perfect break. With more than 100 different species of bird, including buzzards and other birds of prey, wetland species like reed bunting and reed warblers, this is a bird-watcher's delight. The lakes and ponds are great for a sneaky swim, but they also house a precious wildlife ecosystem. From deer to barn owls, kingfishers to butterflies and dragonflies, there’s a lot to take in as you enjoy your strolls around the grounds. You can see that we love animals so we are more than happy for you to bring the dog!

Guest reviews

Yoxford Manor truly was remarkable. We had high expectations, but I can honestly say they were surpassed. It's clear that a lot of time and money and love has been invested in this property. My guests all had a wonderful time and loved the Manor. We booked for my husband's 50th birthday and I now can't wait until my 50th so that we can do it all again!

BIG BATHS, TASTY SUFFOLK FOOD AND LONG WALKS OVER THOUSANDS OF ACRES

This is a grand Georgian manor with big baths, 14 luxurious bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, marble fireplaces, Chinoiserie wallpaper and cosy sofas. The drawing room is perfect for chess, early evening drinks, or reading the papers. The long mahogany table in the dining room seats 24 under the ornamental chandelier. Take the time to enjoy drinks on the terrace overlooking the lake before relaxing over a candlelit meal late into the night. Or wander from the gym to the games room via a dip in the hot tub before choosing a subtle red from the wine cellar to sip as you enjoy an evening film in the cinema room
