Set in the heart of Sherwood Forest (Nottinghamshire), with two hot tubs, a nightclub and open plan space to mingle, Secret Sherwood has all the essential ingredients for spectacular celebrations. From hen parties and stag parties to weddings, birthdays and company bashes, this fabulous venue is the ultimate party house.
Newly built in 2021, Secret Sherwood is hidden from the world amidst acres of fields and forests, and is the perfect setting to create the party of your dreams. Up to 26 guests can stay in well-appointed bedrooms, each with its own 55” TV, underfloor heating and luxury ensuite bathroom, while around 60 guests can join in the celebrations in the beautiful orangery / banqueting hall (additional charge).
Secret Sherwood’s star attraction, the basement nightclub, comes into its own when night falls. Line up the hits on the digital juke box, stock up the bar with drinks – there’s even keg taps waiting for you to hook up your own barrel – and get ready to dance like no one’s watching under the strobe of disco lights in this spectacular setting.
Make a big weekend of it – there’s a wealth of fun and games to enjoy, from the fairy-lit hot tubs to the thrilling 80's style games arcade where you can play Rambo shoot ’em up games, pinball, air hockey, and more. When you’re feeling in the mood for a more relaxed moment, choose between tub chairs in quiet corners or sociable sofas in the open plan living areas.
There’s a kitchen bristling with new appliances so you can keep the party people fed and watered. But who wants to slave away over a hot stove when you can add a package to get served breakfasts and dinners in your own snazzy, private dining room? Which, of course, leaves you to visit the kitchen only for more chilled Champagne.
Secret Sherwood is made for weekend house parties and it looks a dream when it’s laid out for weddings too. During the week, it’s an inspiring venue for business, with flexible spaces for conferences, meetings and more. The magnificent orangery (additional charge) seats up to 60 in any configuration you choose and the built-in 88” HDMI-ready TV is set up for your barnstorming presentations. There's also two dining areas and break-out areas with comfy sofas/chairs. When the day’s business draws to a close, you can down tools and let the fun begin. It's your venue - you decide what you want and need!

What to Expect
We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Secret Sherwood just perfect. In all of our party houses, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.
- High quality bed linen, bath and hand towels
- Well-equipped, open-plan kitchen with two ovens, 5 ring induction hob, Lavazza coffee machine, two fridges, one freezer, microwave and dishwasher
- Dining area with a large dining table that seats 26 guests comfortably
- Mini nightclub in the basement with laser lighting, smoke machine, built-in sound system, digital jukebox and built-in bar with keg taps (just bring your own barrel!)
- Retro, 80's style games arcade with shoot ‘em ups, pinball, air hockey and time crisis (small coin fee for use: £1 or 50p)
- Free Wi-Fi in central areas (note, Wi-Fi is not available in the basement nightclub or bedrooms)

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?
The dining table seats up to 26 guests.

Is the orangery/banqueting hall included in the price?
The beautiful orangery/banqueting hall is available to hire at an additional cost and can hold up to 60 guests for weddings, larger celebrations and corporate events (layouts can be boardroom, theatre, classroom, cabaret, or banqueting style). Please contact us to discuss your plans and to get a quote.

Are extra day guests allowed?
Yes. Secret Sherwood sleeps 26 guests, but up to 20 additional day guests can visit for a surcharge of £35 per person. This needs to be approved prior to booking.

Are pets allowed?
Up to 5 well-behaved dogs are allowed at Secret Sherwood, subject to a fee of £20 per dog.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Secret Sherwood. Please bring your own cots and highchairs. Please note, parents should supervise children at all times due to the fishpond.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Tesco or Asda for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Secret Sherwood. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

You can check availability and pricing and place your booking request online, or by calling our team on 01242 352 747.
When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
