Guest reviews

What a place! Royd Moor Manor was THE perfect place to host our ever-expanding family. We had an absolutely fantastic weekend which we'll be talking about for many years to come! Thank you so much.

A house made for entertaining

From that magnificent hall, perfect for dancing, through to the grand kitchen, complete with two American style fridge freezers and four ovens, and on into the large, comfortable living rooms, Royd Moor Manor is made for people to fill it.

Spend your days splashing about in the hot tubs, or head for the top floor games room for table tennis, pool, table football and air hockey challenges. After dinner, round the long oak table big enough for everyone, settle back in style in the cinema room for a film or two.

A wall of bifold doors opens out onto the terrace, where there’s seating for up to 30 people and not one, but two hot tubs. There’s also an open, grassed garden, great for outdoor games or a summer picnic.

  • Are pets allowed?

Up to 4 dogs are welcome at Royd Moor Manor between October - March only. There is a fantastic 'dog room' with a dog shower and crates (if required). We ask that dogs don't go on soft furnishings or beds in the house, and that they sleep in the dog room (and are left in here if you are not taking them with you when you are going out).

  • Are there good local places to eat you can recommend?

Yes, there are lots of great options and we can recommend the following:

    • Yummy Yorkshire is a fabulous ice cream parlour and restaurant about 2.5 miles from Royd Moor Manor. We recommend taking a long walk from the house, round the reservoir to Yummy Yorkshire!
    • The Dunkirk Inn (Huddersfield) - Holmfirth's Here Be Monsters have exclusively brewed Dunkirk Spirit, their very own artisan ale. The addition of a brand new roof terrace means you can make the most of the beautiful countryside from your elevated position.

    • Pure North Cider Press (Holmfirth)
