Gullane House

Edgehill House Scotland

A contemporary gem on the edge of a golf course

The striking Edgehill House, with its fresh white facade and grand turret, is hidden like a precious jewel in East Lothian, just outside Edinburgh in Scotland. East Lothian is one of Scotland’s most recognised golfing regions, and this stately property stands proudly over the Gullane links, where golf has been played for over 350 years.

But this isn’t only one of the golf-lovers. This elegant, recently completed mansion conversion is just the place for an idyllic getaway. Spend your days lazing in the heated indoor pool, hosting dinners in the heritage-inspired dining room, or curling up in the purpose-built cinema to enjoy a classic film.

Edgehill House seamlessly balances all of the contemporary conveniences you’d expect from your Scottish holiday with a sense of timeless grandeur and charm. In the spacious and comfortable living room, you’ll find a flat screen TV. Bedrooms also feature en-suites complete with power showers and stand-alone marble baths.

Rounded, over-sized windows flood the state-of-the-art kitchen with light, making it the ideal place to tuck into your breakfast.  Take your tea with you into the mansion’s sprawling gardens, dotted with colourful borders and quaint benches, to pause and take in the fresh air. You’ll enjoy views over the local golf courses and the nearest village.

Guest Reviews

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Edgehill House, it is a wonderful place to stay, and had everything we could possibly want. I would recommend Eden Hall to anyone - particularly golf lovers - but also anyone who appreciates luxury in beautiful surroundings. Edgehill House certainly exceeded our expectations.

Seven refined bedrooms

The interiors at Edgehill House strike the perfect balance between refinement and playfulness. Bedrooms use a palette of warm, earthy taupes and greys, against which vivid mustard, peachy coral and seafoam green catch the eye. A variety of tactile textures create a cosy haven where you can relax, unwind and escape the everyday.

Each room is individually styled and therefore boasts its own unique character. Bedrooms in the mansion’s turret have an undeniable sense of grandeur, with their atmospheric curved walls and magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Elsewhere in Edgehill House you’ll find rooms with large leather headboards and furniture with gold gilded detailing, creating a sophisticated, modern feel.
